For a slouchy mini handbag: Connect the hardware at the top of your handbag in the middle over the zipper. The connected hardware becomes your purse handle, meant to carry at your side or as a wristlet.
For a crescent shaped wristlet: Connect the hardware at the top of your handbag in the middle over the zipper. Then connect the detachable strap to the middle hardware.

How do I care for my Cold Gold leather goods?
Avoid getting your leather goods soaking wet. They may change texture or color if they are submerged in water. Light rain is fine, but if the rain is heavy, make sure to tuck your item into your rain jacket, or in a safe, dry place. Leather will stretch slightly over time. Leather is a great material, because it molds to you. Straps become softer the longer you carry them.
